“LOVE PEOPLE” | WINTER CAMPAIGN
Did you know thousands of people in Nashville struggle with homelessness? Hunger and food insecurity is a continual battle these individuals face each day. Project 615 is teaming up with Nashville non-profit, The Bridge, to distribute meals this winter season for those in need. With every purchase of our "Love People" campaign, you are providing 20 meals to help feed the homeless and give hope.
About The Bridge: Founded in November of 2004, The Bridge provides a non-profit service to the food insecure, poor, homeless, and partner agencies to bring necessities for everyday life to the needy. Their goal is to bring awareness to hunger and homelessness, and to motivate others to be passionate for the poor. Every Tuesday evening, The Bridge hosts a weekly outreach that takes place under the Jefferson Street bridge in downtown Nashville, TN. Volunteers serve a hot meal and distribute bags of groceries, toiletries, and new clothes to the homeless. Their weekly average attendance (not counting volunteers) is between 350-500, though they have seen as many as 750+ attendees. The Bridge is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) organization.
Church under the bridge
Every Tuesday at 6 p.m. under the Jefferson Street bridge, The Bridge serves between 350 to 500 poor and homeless individuals. They provide a hot meal, distribute 15,000 pounds of groceries, hygiene items, and clothing, to every guest in attendance. In addition to meeting natural needs, The Bridge also meets spiritual needs by ministering the Gospel in Word and song.

In addition to children’s programing under the bridge on Tuesday nights, The Bridge provides weekend food bags for food insecure and homeless children. During the 2016-17 school year, they partnered with 20 schools and aftercare programs to feed 1,100 children each week. Over the summer, they were in 21 programs and fed 1,780 children each week. For the 2017-18 school year, they have partnered with over 30 schools and aftercare programs and are feeding 2,300 children each week.
