Do Everything In love | Project r12

Project 615 is teaming up with Nashville non profit, Project R12, to raise money to build a children's home in Uganda. This campaign is a step towards breaking the cycle of poverty by raising up a new generation of leaders who are passionate about sustainable change originating in job opportunities, education, access to healthcare, a voice to the forgotten, and justice for the oppressed. For 26 days, Project 615 is selling special-edition apparel with 100% of the profits going towards building a children's home in Uganda.

Do everything in love

Uganda has around 2.5 million orphans. They have no support system, no place to call home and little chance to break the cycle they were born into. With around 51% of Uganda’s population is under the age of 14, Uganda is the second youngest populations in the world and holds the potential of becoming a change agent for all of Africa. With your help we can provide these children the support and home they need. The purchase of one of these tees will directly help us build a children's home in Uganda and change lives for years to come!

For the month of July, Project 615 and Project R12 will be working together to help these children break out of the cycle of poverty! For 26 days, Project 615 is selling special-edition apparel with 100% of the profits going towards building a children's home in Uganda for orphans.

Project R12 is a non-profit that is determined to break the cycle of poverty by raising up a new generation of leaders who are passionate about sustainable change. They partner with leaders who understand that change originates in jobs, education, trade, innovation, access to health, a voice to the forgotten, and justice for the oppressed.

Want to know a little bit more about the boys you are helping to build a home for?

Victor.  10 years. Jonathan and Victor are brothers who we rescued after the father was jailed on unjust terms and their mother was unable to care for them any longer.

Eddie. 7 years. We rescued Eddie in October of 2017. He lived in the village with a very poor family. His parents could not provide schooling or any type of consistent caretaking for Eddie. He wandered the streets during the day and would steal to buy food or save for school fees. He rarely ate and was at great risk for child trafficking or sacrifice.

Moses. 15 years. We found Moses sleeping in one of our classrooms and rescued him in October of 2017. He came to our compound in the village because he had heard it was a safe place for kids. He had fled from an abusive home life and had been living on the streets. His mother had remarried after his father died and she blamed Moses for his death – she told him she wished he was dead. His stepfather was abusive so Moses fled and began to live on the streets. He was often taken advantage of and was forced into child labor – people would tell him they would help him go back to school but really they were just using him for free labor. We were able to find a sponsor for Moses and be able to put him in one of the best boarding schools in Central Uganda where he is excelling. Moses will be one of the oldest boys in the Children’s Home.

Paul. 8 years. Ronald and Paul are brothers who live in the village with their mother who is dumb: deaf and mute. She is unable to take care of them and we became their main caretakers in 2012. Both boys were not in school and could speak no English. They were living in the streets and were sleeping in the dirt.

Deo. 7 years. Allen and Deo are brothers and their Dad died and the mother was convinced by a witch doctor to sell them – a practice called child sacrifice. The boys and their sister were going to be sold to their death but we were able to intervene before the witch doctor could carry it out. We are their sole caretakers.

Mark. 15 years.    Mark and Shadick are brothers and they were rescued in 2012. Their father was brutally killed in front of them in a motorcycle accident. The mother fled after the Father’s death and left them with their sickly and helpless grandmother. When we found Mark and Shadick, they were living in a gutter by the roadside with no hope of going to school or ever receiving a real chance at life. They were both very sick and on the brink of death. Mark is now one of the top students in all of Uganda and his dream is to be a pilot for Ugandan Air.

Isaiah. 10 years. Isaiah is one our newest boys who we rescued – he has a single mother who is incredibly poor and cannot take care of Isaiah. He sits idly in the village, not going to school or even able to speak English.
